The Division 2 official artwork showing a street battle

The Division 2 will be coming to PC and consoles this March 15th, bringing with it a variety of improvements over the original, as well as some rather nifty PC-exclusive features. If you would like to give it a try beforehand and see how all of that looks like in-game, you might be glad to hear that Ubisoft will be holding an Open Beta from March 1st to 4th.

Unlike the previous Private Beta, there will be no special requirements for the Open Beta. Once it goes live, all you'll need to do is create or log in to your Uplay account, download the beta client, and you'll be ready to roam across The Division 2's world until March 4th. A relatively short time frame, but still plenty of time to let you know whether The Division 2 is your kind of game or not.

I haven't played the Private Beta myself as I'm not exactly keen on pre-ordering stuff, but I am happy to say that the impressions I've seen online are quite positive so far. The PC UI is unfortunately a bit of a mess, but outside of that The Division 2 appears to be a straight up improvement over the original. So if you're even remotely interested in the concept, I'd say the free Open Beta is definitely worth checking out.

You can learn more about The Division 2, as well as follow its updates going forward, over at the official website. And as a final note, I'll leave you with one of the recent trailers. Enjoy!
