[Update]: Saints Row: The Third - Remastered has now arrived, and I'm happy to say it's an excellent remaster!

If you're in the mood for meaningless mayhem, rejoice as Saints Row: The Third is getting remastered! The new version will bring with it greatly improved character models and visual effects, a brand new lighting engine to help the city of Steelport really stand out, as well as all of the various DLC.

Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer. It'll give you a pretty good idea of just what Saints Row: The Third is about, as well as how much of an improvement the remastered version is. Have a peek:

I honestly would've preferred the second Saints Row game to get remastered instead since that one is barely functional on PC, but I suppose Saints Row: The Third is far more popular. After all, there aren't that many co-op games where you can just goof around and cause chaos like a crazy person, which is a niche that Saints Row: The Third fills quite well!

You can expect Saints Row: The Third Remastered to arrive for PC (via Epic Games store), Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on May 22, 2020. While you won't find much in terms of information just yet, you can learn a little bit more about the remaster, as well as keep an eye on any developer updates, over at the official website.
