Resident Evil 3 official artwork showing the main characters

[Update]: Resident Evil 3's newest trailer is all about the big boy himself - Nemesis!

As I've hopefully made clear throughout my review, the Resident Evil 2 remake might not be a completely faithful recreation of the original classic, but it definitely manages to reach the same heights and often even surpass them. In other words, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that Capcom has now announced the Resident Evil 3 remake is on its way!

What might come as quite a shock is that Resident Evil 3 will be coming to us not even halfway through 2020, on April 3rd! I'd imagine this is because Resident Evil 3 shares both the engine and gameplay mechanics with its predecessor, but even so, that's quite an impressive achievement on Capcom's side.

While the newly posted trailer doesn't feature much in terms of raw gameplay, it will give you a pretty good idea of the places you'll get to explore, as well as what the characters themselves will look like. As for Nemesis, he's being a little bit shy this time around so don't expect to see him all that much. Have a peek:

As an additional little bonus, Resident Evil 3 will come bundled with Resident Evil Resistance (formerly known as Project Resistance), a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game. Essentially, Resistance is a multiplayer-focused game where the survivors attempt to navigate a dangerous environment in search of salvation, while the evil mastermind places traps and enemies, as well as controls zombies, in order to bring them down. A simple enough concept, but it should be a nice bit of fun, especially since it comes bundled for 'free'!

Once a proper gameplay trailer gets released I'll make sure to let you know, but until then you can pass the time by thinking up all of the ridiculous creatures (and inanimate objects) Nemesis could be modded into!
