Back in October Rockstar announced Red Dead Redemption 2 and pinned its launch for Fall 2017, a rather ambitious release date given that we still haven't received a proper gameplay trailer. Unsurprisingly, Rockstar has now come out to announce that Red Dead Redemption 2 is being postponed all the way to Spring 2018 in order to ensure it becomes the best game it can possibly be: "Some extra time is necessary to ensure that we can deliver the best experience possible for our fans. We are very sorry for any disappointment this delay causes, but we are firm believers in delivering a game only when it is ready."

There is still unfortunately no word about the PC version, but I have a feeling its going to come at some point after the console one, much like GTA 5. There just isn't any reason for Rockstar to keep Red Dead Redemption 2 console-exclusive, especially now that we live in an era where executives have finally realized that PC gaming is neither dead nor a wretched hive of scum and villainy.

While Rockstar didn't reveal any new information about the gameplay or story, they did at least release a couple of new and rather fancy images. And since I have nothing else of substance to tell you, allow me to send you off by showing you the newly posted images:
