Warhammer's annual Skulls festival has now arrived, and with it a whole bunch of exciting new announcements. The most unexpected of these, and the one that fills me with the most joy, is the reveal of a brand new turn-based CRPG from Owlcat Games, the team behind the excellent Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous!

The freshly revealed Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will put you in charge of a massive voidship and task you with exploring the far reaches of the galaxy. From there you will have to make a wide variety of choices that will have serious consequences for both your character and crew. This includes the obvious choices like remaining loyal to the Emperor and purging corruption wherever you find it, as well as more heretical options like consorting with the ruinous powers in a bid for infamy!

What Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader looks like in actual gameplay, that you can find out through the announcement trailer down below. Have a gander, it's quite a fun concept:

No exact release date has been announced just yet, but what I can tell you is that Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will definitely be coming to PC. That said, if Owlcat Games' history is any judge, Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader will likely make its way onto consoles as well after a bit of a delay.

Once we get an actual date, ideally alongside a lengthier gameplay preview, I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can check learn more about Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader over at the official website.
