Claiming them is about as simple as it gets. Just log into Overwatch and they'll be automatically added to your account. You don't even need to open them right away as they will remain exactly where they are until you're ready, even once the Winter Wonderland event has faded away.

Speaking of the Winter Wonderland, it's also worth mentioning that all of the previous Christmas-themed skins have also made a return this year at a reduced price. So instead of paying 3000 credits for a single new legendary skin, you can purchase each of the old ones for 1000 credits, which is a pretty good deal given how fast those can accumulate once you've been playing for a while.
