[Update 3]: According to the newest rumors, Blizzard is working on a story-focused Overwatch spin-off!

[Update 2]: There is a double EXP event running through June 10th, so go and farm up those cosmetics!

[Update]: The next patch will bring with it the long-awaited replay system, as well as a variety of balance changes and tweaks to the Assault (2CP) mode!

After being announced only a few days ago, Overwatch's third Anniversary update has now arrived. It brings with it all of the previous event game modes, all of the numerous event skins at discounted prices, as well as a variety of new cosmetics. Best of all, the vast majority of the new cosmetics are genuinely good, with a special shoutout going towards Gargoyle Winston!

If you're wondering what these cosmetics might look like, as well as what new stuff the Anniversary update has to offer as a whole, allow me to share with you the recently posted teaser. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun one:

Besides all of the new cosmetics, this update has also added the Workshop modding tools. While the Workshop doesn't allow you to create your very own maps, it does give you a chance to create unique game modes, abilities and heroes, as well as easily share and play community-created content.

We're still in the early days so people haven't figured out everything the Workshop has to offer, but already there are plenty of modes available - everything from racing modes to aim trainers or even 'card' games. Honestly, I can't wait to see what people will come up with in the next few months!

You can read a little bit more about these new features, as well as check out the new cosmetics up close, over at the official website. Have fun!
