MultiVersus artwork for the brand new character Black Adam

Continuing on with the remarkably fast pace of releasing new characters, the MultiVersus team has now unleashed Black Adam. So far it looks like Black Adam is an incredibly powerful bruiser that can dish out an immense amount of damage, though that power is kept in check by his slow and cumbersome attacks. As such, if you're planning to start playing as Black Adam, do be prepared to overcome a bit of a learning curve.

What Black Adam looks like in action, however, that you can check out through the freshly posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander:

Besides Black Adam, the update has also added the very first Arcade game mode. It's essentially a horde mode that gives you (and potentially a friend) a chance to battle against waves of enemies across three difficulty settings. While things do get occasionally spiced up with a boss, it's a fairly basic game mode and more or a proof of concept than anything else. Still, it's an interesting idea and hopefully the first of many new game modes to help players brush up their skills.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, the Black Adam update has also added the Silly Queue. True to its name, the Silly Queue is going to be the home for casual game modes and wacky rulesets, all in an effort to give players a place to unwind after a streak of competitive matches. For example Growth Spurt makes characters massively grow in size as they deal damage, which as you might imagine, eventually results in the battles devolving into complete and utter nonsense! That said, much like the Arcade mode the Silly Queue is still undergoing testing, so expect to see it get a lot more polish (and game modes) in the future.

For now, however, you can learn more about Black Adam and the accompanying balance changes over at the official patch notes. Enjoy!
