Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath artwork from MTG Arena

[Update #2]: After a dominating performance, MTG Arena is now banning Time Warp!

[Update]: MTG Arena has launched a Historic Shakeup event that aims to disrupt the most powerful decks.

Despite getting banned in the Standard format back in September 2020, Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath has continued to be a massive problem for MTG Arena and Magic: The Gathering as a whole. This eventually culminated in him becoming one of the most played creatures across the vast majority of formats, even some of the ridiculously high-powered ones like Modern.

Something clearly needed to be done, and I'm happy to say that Wizards of the Coast has now finally struck back against the omnipresent titan. In other words, Uro, Titan of Nature's Wrath has now been banned from just about every format! And in order to ensure this type of mistake doesn't happen again, his partner in crime Omnath, Locus of Creation has been properly banned from Historic instead of merely suspended.

The good news doesn't end there, however, as Wizards of the Coast has continued the banning spree by getting rid of some of the most problematic cards throughout all of Magic. The most interesting of these is the banning of Tibalt's Trickery in Modern, which actually makes it one of the fastest new cards to be banned. A well deserved 'accolade' as Tibalt's Trickery is one of those cards that turns every match into a pure coin-flip which is about as exciting as it sounds.

You can find the full list of banned and unbanned cards over at the official website. Have fun, and here's to hoping the new Historic meta will be a highly entertaining one!
