I've barely seen anyone speak about Day of the Tentacle or Full Throttle for years and now both are suddenly getting remasters. While the Day of the Tentacle announcement caught me by surprise I'm pretty sure I summoned Full Throttle by talking about how great a Full Throttle remaster would be. I mean that's the only obvious answer here, Occam's razor and all that.

While I think of ways to use my new-found powers for good it would be wise to show you the announcement message over at Double Fine's website.

On a more serious note the Full Throttle Remaster seems to be coming from a place of deep love, just look at the feature list:

"Full Throttle Remastered will feature all new artwork, with high resolution backgrounds and animation, with each frame being repainted by hand. We’ll be aiming to restore the sound and music to a higher quality, and we’ll also fill the game with special features like concept artwork, commentary tracks and as many other things as we can think of!"

But as you might imagine so much work does indeed take a lot of time so Full Throttle Remastered will be coming to PC and Playstation platforms in 2017. I certainly have no problem with waiting, especially if the quality is going to be equal to that shown in the recent Day of the Tentacle Remaster.
