Final Fantasy XIV Myths of the Realm, Part 1: Aglaia artwork

[Update]: Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.1 has now arrived alongside a sizable PvP rework.

Now that Final Fantasy XIV's long-running storyline has reached its ultimate conclusion with the Endwalker expansion, it's time for a brand new chapter to begin. As such, once Patch 6.1 arrives this April 12, 2022 it'll bring with it an assortment of new Main Scenario quests that will see your character return to the life of a simple adventurer... at least for a little while anyway!

Besides the new storyline, you can also expect to see the option to play A Realm Reborn main scenario dungeons and trials alongside a party of NPCs. While initially limited to only a small batch of dungeons and trials, the concept will eventually be expanded to support all of the expansions and their content.

There will also be a new 24-player Alliance Raid "Myths of the Realm, Part 1: Aglaia", a challenging new trial "The Minstrel’s Ballad: Endsinger’s Aria", as well as the return of the Ultima Weapon in "Unreal Trial: Ultima’s Bane". And if you don't particularly care about end-game challenges, it's also worth mentioning that a new residential district will be opening up in Ishgard - Empyreum!

All of this is just the tip of the iceberg, so if you're curious about everything coming in with Patch 6.1 you should head on over to the Final Fantasy XIV website.

Once Patch 6.1 actually goes live I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, I'll leave you with the fairly lengthy teaser trailer. Enjoy!
