[Update #2]: It took a while, but the enhanced version of the Final Fantasy VII Remake has now landed onto PC!

[Update]: Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII will only be a PlayStation exclusive until 2021!

After being announced years ago and going through what appears to be a troubled development, Final Fantasy VII's remake has emerged completely unscarred. In fact, even that is an understatement as the newly released Tokyo Game Show gameplay footage is looking downright amazing!

Since there is no better way to showcase this than by simply letting you see it on your own, allow me to share with you the recently posted and fairly lengthy in-game trailer. Have a gander, it really is impressive:

The only thing I'm not sold on so far is the voice acting. I know Square Enix is going for a cheesier tone so everyone is over-acting and chewing the scenery like a brontosaurus, but I can't help but notice how heavily it clashes with some of the more serious moments. This goes doubly so when you consider how all-out Square Enix has gone with showing the devastation during the last scene of the trailer!

Whether my concerns are valid or not, I suppose we'll find out soon enough as Final Fantasy VII's remake is coming on March 3, 2020! You can check out a few more previews, as well as keep an eye on any further updates, over at the official website.
