[Update #2]: Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy VII will only be a PlayStation exclusive until 2021!

[Update]: Final Fantasy VII Remake's newest TGS trailer is somehow even more impressive!

After being announced quite a few years ago alongside massive fanfare, Final Fantasy VII's remake and any news surrounding it simply vanished into the ether. Given the lack of any sort of information, as well as the switch towards internal development, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that there were a fair few rumors saying that Final Fantasy VII is stuck in development hell, or has even been outright canceled!

Thankfully, this has turned out to be false as Square Enix has revealed a rather beautiful trailer during the recent PlayStation event. So if you're curious, here's what the current version of Final Fantasy VII's remake looks like:

Much like before, nothing has been mentioned about the PC version just yet. That said, pretty much every Final Fantasy game has already made its way to PC, including the newest Final Fantasy XV, so chances are good that the Final Fantasy VII remake will come as well. It'll most likely arrive after a bit of a delay, but as long as the PC port ends up being good I don't think that's too big of an issue.

If Square Enix announces anything related to the PC version I'll make sure to let you know, but until then you can keep an eye on Final Fantasy VII over at the official website.
