[Update #2]: Final Fantasy XIV's Patch 6.1 will mark the beginning of a brand new story.

[Update]: At long last, the Endwalker expansion has now been unleashed in full!

Due to a small delay, the official launch of Final Fantasy XIV's much-anticipated Endwalker expansion has been pushed back to December 7th. However, while the proper launch will only happen in a couple of days, you might be quite interested to hear that the early access phase is already underway!

So if you've pre-ordered Endwalker and are more than eager to experience the new content, you can now simply log in and start playing! Should you run into any sort of trouble, however, I'd recommend hopping over to the the brief FAQ and checking if everything is working correctly with your account.

When it comes to the quality of Endwalker itself, it's pretty much exactly what you would expect. The new content and storylines are already getting a large amount of praise, while the queue times are slowly reaching absurd levels during prime time. So in order to ensure you can actually play when you want to, it would be a pretty good idea to join the queue about an hour beforehand, just in case.
