The Ringed City is Dark Souls 3's second and final piece of DLC, and perhaps most disappointingly of all, the grand finale for the entire Dark Souls series. It is set to arrive on March 28th, but in order to pave the way FromSoftware has just released a brand new balance update alongside two PvP arenas: Dragon Ruins and Grand Roof.

Heavy armor and weapons are finally getting their much needed buff, poison and bleed effects have been slightly improved for PvP, shield bash is no longer going to be a useless skill, katanas have been slightly nerfed, and the list goes on. If you're interested in all of the details you can find what you seek over here, but long story short, its a whole bunch of bug fixes and balance changes aimed at making PvP as enjoyable as possible.

Now you know why they call it "the world's end"

As for the two PvP arenas, you will only have access to them if you currently own The Ringed City DLC or the Season Pass. If you do have the DLC, however, you will find that the arena system is the best way to experience some proper group vs group PvP. And don't worry, the stupid password system of old has been replaced with a proper matchmaker, so just find yourself a buddy and get slicing!

In order to round this whole announcement out FromSoftware have also released the launch trailer for The Ringed City DLC. There are no major spoilers in the video, but it does showcase some of the bosses and monsters you'll be fighting against, so if you want to enter The Ringed City completely fresh you might want to look away. As for the rest of you, enjoy the video!
