Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered edition will not be sold separately

Yesterday's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare announcement garnered a whole lot of excitement, partly because it represents an intriguing new take on a rather stale franchise, and partly because it officially confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, the game that started it all, will be getting a remaster.

It was revealed that Legacy, Legacy Pro, and Digital Deluxe versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be arriving bundled together with COD 4 remaster, but many assumed it would also be available for purchase separately, a line of thinking that has now been unfortunately confirmed as incorrect.

According to the official FAQ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will not be available for purchase separately, a bit of news that is undoubtedly going to leave a lot of people feeling both betrayed and angry after having been teased with the possibility of a remaster for quite a while now. On the positive side, however, I sincerely doubt its going to stay exclusive for very long, so if you don't feel like grabbing Infinite Warfare just wait a couple of months, the remaster is bound to appear eventually.

As of right now we know that it will feature high quality textures, physically based rendering, greatly improved lighting, and other such graphical goodies one might expect from a modern game in this day and age. In terms of content you can expect to see the campaign in its entirety, as well as 10 multiplayer maps, including famous ones such as "Crash","Backlot" and "Crossfire".

Finally, allow me to end all of this on some extremely positive news - there will be dedicated servers on launch!
