[Update]: Borderlands devs are working on a more RPG focused spin-off - Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

After taking a bit longer to release than expected, Borderlands 3's newest Director's Cut DLC has now been unleashed. It brings with it a series of short new quests centered around Ava and her 'Mysteriouslier' podcast, a massive new raid boss, a whole bunch of new themed loot and cosmetics, and as you might guess from the name alone, a collection of behind-the-scenes material from Borderlands 3's development.

You can get a pretty good idea of what all of this looks like in actual gameplay through the recently posted launch trailer. Have a gander, it's a rather brief one:

When it comes to its quality, the Director's Cut DLC seems to be pretty much more of the same. It doesn't look bad by any stretch, but it also doesn't really bring in anything new and interesting to shake up the whole experience. So if you've got an itch only more Borderlands 3 can cure, then the Director's Cut is probably worth looking into. And if not, I think you can safely skip this one for now, especially if you're not a fan of Ava and her nonsense.

In terms of price tag, the Director's Cut DLC will set you back $15 on its own, or you can grab it as a part of the Season 2 Pass for $30. While I haven't explored the content myself, the Season 2 Pass currently holds a mostly negative rating with 204 reviews on Steam, so if you do decide to jump in, a bit of extra research might be prudent.

Whatever your choice may be, I hope you have fun!
