Mass Effect: Andromeda image of the Pathfinder standing no the Moon

After being rumored and teased for well over a year now, Bioware has finally released an extended gameplay trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda. And even though it may be a bit over-edited and scripted in order to fit the narrative, I must admit its actually pretty damn intriguing.

So if you're interested in seeing a glimpse of what Mass Effect: Andromeda has to offer, you'll find the recently posted gameplay video down below. But before you dive in, do bear in mind that the footage you're going to be watching is from the early alpha, and as such there are some elements of... questionable quality in there as well. Have a look:

While Mass Effect: Andromeda certainly looks rather lovely, even though the footage is from an incredibly early build, I think you now understand why I had to add that disclaimer above. Its obvious the writing, the animations, and the weapons themselves aren't yet polished enough for the spotlight, which makes me wonder why Bioware even decided to make this type of a gameplay trailer. Its not that big of a deal given that its practically guaranteed all of it will be polished to a mirror sheen by the time Mass Effect: Andromeda finally releases, but its still a bit of a strange choice. And as far as the release date is concerned, you can expect to see Mass Effect: Andromeda at some point in spring, 2017.

Finally, if you're interested in learning more about Mass Effect: Andromeda, here's two videos featuring both the action and story focused aspects of it. I personally prefer the lore video as it actually gives us some context for the whole Pathfinder project, while also briefly explaining what exactly we're going to be doing throughout the Andromeda sector, something most other videos seem to just gloss over. But enough rambling from me, enjoy!
