[Update]: Apex Legends' Season 4 has now arrived alongside a bunch of new content and balance changes.

Assimilation, Apex Legends' massive Season 4 update, is set to arrive later today (February 4th). It'll bring with it the deadly Revenant as a new legend, a new battle pass filled with a whole bunch of flashy cosmetics, a new bolt-action sniper rifle, and most importantly of all, drastic changes to the World's Edge map.

You can get a bit of an idea of what all of this looks like in action, as well as what Revenant's abilities might be, through the recently posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander, it's a pretty fun video:

The details are still few and far between, but it seems like Revenant's passive ability will allow him to wall-climb for longer, while his active ability will be some sort of long-range grenade. More interestingly, his ultimate appears to give both him and his teammates the ability to go on the aggressive as shadows. Whether this means the legends themselves get bonuses while the ultimate is active, or if the shadows are a separate entity with their own health pool, I have no idea. Still, it's a pretty neat ultimate... as long as you can protect that incredibly vulnerable totem!
