[Update]: Apex Legends' Season 3 patch has now arrived, and as expected, it's a pretty fun one!

It's only been a little while since the Wraith themed Voidwalker event has arrived, and already Apex Legends is preparing itself for another batch of new content. However, instead of a simple event, this time around we're looking at the start of Season 3.

Once Season 3 arrives on October 1st you can expect to see a brand new hacker Legend by the name of Crypto, an awesome-looking new map called World's Edge, as well as the rather devastating new Charged Rifle weapon. There will also be a new Battle Pass with a variety of items to collect, as well as a whole bunch of improvements to the Ranked Mode.

When it comes to Crypto, I'm afraid no official list of abilities has been released just yet. However, you can get a pretty good idea of what he's capable of, as well as who he really is, through the recently posted story trailer. Have a gander, it's a nicely animated one:

As for the new Ranked Mode improvements, the most important thing to mention is that playing as a team and focusing fire will finally be rewarding Rank Points for everyone, and not just the players dealing the finishing blow. This sort of thing is going to be doubly important in Season 3 as Respawn will be adding cosmetic rewards for ranked performance!
