[Update]: Apex Legends' Season 4 will bring with it another new legend - the deadly Revenant.

If you're looking for an excuse to boot up Apex Legends, the newly released Season 3 update is certainly a good one. Not only has it brought in a massive new map to explore, but it has also added Crypto as a new Legend, as well as the Charge Rifle as a brand new energy sniper to toy around with!

The Season 3 update has also rebalanced a whole bunch of weapons, somewhat reshuffled the loot, as well as adjusted how the ranked mode functions. You can find the full details over at the developer update, but the most important thing you need to know is that assists now matter just as much as kills. In other words, playing as a team and focusing fire will no longer be inadvertently punished in the ranked mode!

As for the new World's Edge map, you can get a pretty good idea of what to expect through the recently posted gameplay trailer. Have a gander, it's quite a pretty one to behold:

While I won't comment on the balance changes given that I've been off the Apex train for a little while now, the new additions have been so far been a ton of fun. The new map is gorgeous and it's always fun figuring out where all of the best loot spots are, Crypto is unsurprisingly yet another interesting legend to annoy your opponents with, while the Charge Rifle is probably my favorite weapon so far. There is just something magical about setting your opponents on fire with a concentrated laser from half a map away!

To learn more about each of these additions, as well as potentially give Apex Legends a try, you should head on over to the official website. Have fun, and I'll leave you with Crypto's story trailer!
