[Update]: Twelve years after the original, the PC version of Spelunky 2 has now been unleashed!

Even though they've been around for a very long time, action-roguelikes finally made it into the spotlight with the original Spelunky. This was the case because not only did Spelunky have highly appealing visuals, but with randomized levels, a massive difficulty curve and plenty of secrets to uncover, it was one of those games you could play for a hundred hours and still have more to discover.

With all of that in mind, I am delighted to say that the sequel is now nearly upon us. After a two week delay from the launch of the PS4 version, Spelunky 2 will be making its way to PC this September 29th!

As you might expect, Spelunky 2 takes pretty much all of the good elements of the original, and then expands on them in a variety of different ways. So expect to see more elaborate levels, more branching paths, more unique playstyles, more characters to interact with, and perhaps most importantly of all, online multiplayer!
