[Update]: Spark the Electric Jester 3 has now made its way onto Steam alongside a mostly positive reception.

If the recent previews for Sonic Frontiers have left you disappointed, you might want to keep an eye on the upcoming Spark the Electric Jester 3 as it shows a great deal of potential. It's essentially a fast paced action-platformer heavily inspired by the some of the better 3D Sonic games like Sonic Adventure.

If all of that looks like something you'd love to mess around with, you'll be happy to hear that you won't have to wait all that long in order to dive. According to the latest developer update, Spark the Electric Jester 3 will be launching onto PC (via Steam) this August 15th.

Best of all, there's even a free demo available, so you can give it a try right now! The demo is a little bit outdated so it's not going to be truly representative of the final version, but it's still a rather handy way of figuring out whether this type of action-platformer is your kind of game or not.
