[Update]: The Soroboreans expansion has now arrived alongside highly positive reviews.

If you're like me and you've pretty much explored everything Outward has to offer, you'll be glad to hear that it's very first expansion - The Soroboreans - will be launching this June 16th for PC. As for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions, they will be arriving slightly later - on July 7th.

The Soroboreans will bring with it a brand new enchantment system that will let you tweak your weapons, trinkets and armor sets. While no details have been given just yet, I fully expect this system to be both tricky to manage and quite expensive, as is often the case with any sort of power increase in Outward.

On the opposite side of things, corruption will be joining the likes of hunger, thirst and warmth as another condition you'll need to manage. Each subsequent level of corruption will have noticeable effects on your character, some of which appear to be really hard to shake off, so you'll definitely want to manage your corruption lest you find yourself crippled or straight up dead because of your inaction.

You can also expect to see gauntlets as a new weapon type, new skill trees and status effects, as well as variety of new loot to acquire. And if you're in the mood for some combat, there will also be vast and interconnected dungeons to explore - all filled to the brim with danger and riches!

Once the expansion goes live I'll make sure to let you know, but until then I'll leave you with the recent developer video highlighting some of the new features. Enjoy!
