[Update]: If you're itching for even more turn-based goodness, it's well worth mentioning that the Octopath Traveler studio has just released the Final Fantasy Tactics inspired Triangle Strategy onto PC!

Much like the Fire Emblem series from which it draws a great deal of inspiration, the freshly released Lost Eidolons is a strategy game that puts heavy emphasis on both storytelling and combat. What this means is that in between all of the challenging turn-based battles you'll also have to work on building up your camp, training your squad, as well as earning the trust of your numerous companions.

Rather than babble on, allow me to share with you the launch trailer. It should give you a pretty good idea of just what Lost Eidolons looks and plays like. Have a gander, it's quite an interesting one:

Given that this is a frequent concern among players, it's worth mentioning that even though Lost Eidolons' battles have a hard turn limit, actually reaching it requires a long series of terrible mistakes. So if you decide to give Lost Eidolons a try, don't stress too much about the turn limit as you are unlikely to ever hit it while playing even somewhat normally.

That said, if you absolutely hate the very concept of turn limits, you'll be happy to hear that the developers are looking to see if they can remove them without negatively impacting the game. No exact details have been given just yet, but rest assured that the Ocean Drive team is well aware of the complaints.

Whatever your thoughts on the matter may be, you can learn more about Lost Eidolons and its gameplay over at Steam. Enjoy!
