Bonelab VR based sandbox action game artwork and logo

Just like its predecessor Boneworks, the freshly released Bonelab is a VR, physics-based action game that mostly serves as a wacky sandbox for you to mess around with. As such, one of the things you can do in Bonelab is import a custom avatar to play as, with your characters' stats reshaping themselves to match your new form! This means you can be an extremely small and nimble character that exclusively punches people in the shins, or an absolute monstrosity that more than compensates for its slow speed with sheer damage.

What all of this nonsense looks like in game, that you can get a pretty good idea of through the launch trailer below. Have a peek:

If you've played the original Boneworks, it should come as little surprise to hear that the current version of Bonelab is a bit rough around the edges and lacking in content. Like I said earlier, it's mostly a sandbox full of wildly different mechanics and ideas that you can use to create your own fun, and hopefully expand with mods in order to keep things interesting for a long time to come. So before you dive into Bonelab, make sure you're okay with a bit of jankiness and the occasionally frustrating level as you'll no doubt run across both on your adventures.

Whatever your plans may be, you can learn more about Bonelab, as well as check out some of the player reviews, over at Steam. Have fun!
