Cube World official artwork with logo

The colorful and voxel-based RPG Cube World managed to garner a sizable amount of excitement back in 2013 with the release of its very first alpha build. However, despite the positive reception, the development on Cube World was seemingly halted the very same year. With no communication from the leader developer 'Wollay' and the game itself being pulled from storefronts, Cube World's fate looked to be sealed.

As such, you can imagine the surprise when Wollay recently appeared and not only announced that development on Cube World is still ongoing, but that the full release is just around the corner. He wasn't joking either, because after years and years in development, Cube World has now officially launched onto Steam!

You can get a pretty good idea of what Cube World is about, as well as what you can expect from the gameplay itself, through the newly posted launch trailer. Have a gander:

While I would love to tell you that everything has gone well and that Cube World has launched without a hitch, things are unfortunately a bit more mixed as the user reviews are either praising or downright hating on the release version. Where exactly the truth lies, I'm afraid I don't know as I haven't played any version of Cube World, so if you're planning on buying it any time soon, do make sure to do a bit of research beforehand. After all, it's better to be safe than sorry with these sorts of scenarios.

To learn more about Cube World, as well as potentially grab yourself a copy, you should hop on over to Steam. Have fun!
