Factorio: Space Age Beginner's Guide - Nine simple things I wish I knew before I first started
- By Ash

It took the combined efforts of around 400,000 people to get the first man onto the Moon, so it's understandably a bit daunting when Factorio's new Space Age expansion asks you to start up an interstellar empire all on your own. Thankfully, Factorio does a pretty good job of breaking down super complicated tasks into manageable chunks, as well as automating much of the tedious stuff. With just a little bit of preparation it's entirely possible to make your first journey across the stars a nice and smooth one.
So in order to help you out, I would like to share with you a list of things that I had to learn the hard way and wish I knew from the very start. These aren't going to be ideal build orders or tricks to hyper optimize your base as I'm by no means a Factorio expert, but rather simple advice to help you prioritize the important stuff and avoid many of the pitfalls I fell into head-first. And without further ado, let us begin!
Factorio: Space Age Review - A tale of space bricks, suffering and triumph

I can only assume Factorio exists in some sort of a magical time bubble. Every single time I sat down to play the new Space Age expansion I'd spend an hour tinkering with my space ship or exploring a new planet, only to then get up for a drink and realize an entire day has passed, it's now 5am, and I need to wake up for work in an hour!
If you're curious about what exactly makes Space Age so addicting, as well as what sort of challenges you'll have to brave in order to start an interstellar empire, all me to share with you my thoughts after spending way, way too much time playing Factorio this past week.

A decade has gone by since Dragon Age Inquisition first arrived, so if you were patiently waiting to see where to story will go next, rejoice as Dragon Age: The Veilguard is nearly upon us! You can expect to see it land onto PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this October 31st at a 60€ price tag.
As you would expect from the series at this point, Veilguard is all about chatting up unique characters and getting way too involved in their personal business, making all sorts of hard choices, and naturally, exploring a massive world while slicing and dicing your way through hordes of enemies. In other words, it may have a new coat of paint, but it's still good ol' Dragon Age!

In an announcement that came seemingly out of nowhere, the resurrected Argonaut Games studio have revealed that they are working on a remastered version of an ancient PlayStation platformer - Croc: Legend of the Gobbos! As you might expect, the new version will come with improved visuals, smoother controls, a variety of bonus features like concept art, and perhaps most importantly of all, a better camera.
What these improved visuals look like in action, however, that you can check out through the freshly posted trailer. Have a gander:
World of Warcraft's 20th Anniversary has arrived with many call-backs to the glory days of old

While the patch did get slightly overshadowed by Blizzard dropping a $90 mount onto the in-game store, World of Warcraft is currently celebrating its 20th anniversary. The definite highlight of the update is the refreshed version of Blackrock Depths. What once was the biggest and most elaborate dungeon in World of Warcraft has now been transformed into a nostalgic yet surprisingly challenging raid... as long as the scaling doesn't bug out anyway! The loot also isn't all that amazing so it's probably not something I'd recommend running all the time, but definitely give it a visit for nostalgia's sake as the city really is a sight to behold.
Speaking of nostalgia, the free update has also revamped the highly iconic Tier 2 sets. And if you're playing one of the classes that didn't exist back then, worry not as Blizzard hasn't forgotten about you. Instead of an updated version of an old set, you'll get a completely new set based on the same sort of design principles. And I have to say they do look pretty sweet, especially the monk one!
Monster Hunter Wilds will be holding a free Open Beta from November 1 - 4

- in News
It would appear that Capcom is extremely confident about the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds because they have just announced a free Open Beta that's going to be available on all platforms! PlayStation Plus subscribers will be getting a slight head start on October 29th, while PC, Xbox and other PlayStation players will be able to dive in on November 1st at 3am GMT. The whole playtest will last until November 4th, so everyone should have plenty of time to mull over whether Monster Hunter Wilds is their kind of game or not.
Speaking of which, the Open Beta will contain three 'parts'. The first is the complete character customization tool, with the important bit here being that you can bring over your finely tuned monstrosity creation to the full version of the game.

After going through some rather hefty delays, I'm happy to say that Metal Slug Tactics now finally has a proper release date! So if you're in the mood for a turn-based adaptation of a run'n'gun classic, make sure to mark November 5th on your calendar.
In terms of actual content, Metal Slug Tactics will come with 110 hand-crafted maps to completely demolish, 36 weapons to toy around with, 9 unique characters, and perhaps most importantly of all, a roguelite progression system to help keep things fresh by giving you access to all sorts of new perks, upgrades and weapons after each mission. So as long as the gameplay is good, and so far that does seem to be the case, there should be plenty to chew on with Metal Slug Tactics!
