Aporia: Beyond the Valley is a first-person puzzle-adventure set in a world full of ancient technology and long-overgrown ruins. It is going to be up to you to discover what caused the downfall of the once great civilization, what exactly the miraculous and life-giving amber fluid truly is, and most importantly of all, who in the world are you?

Aporia has been created in CryEngine, so it really shouldn't come as much of a surprise to hear that it is a gorgeous game with some great atmosphere to it. Since this is a bit difficult to explain through words alone, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It will give you a pretty good idea of what to expect from Aporia. Have a look:

I've not yet finished Aporia, so don't take this as a 'proper' review, but so far its definitely been a very relaxing and rather enjoyable experience. That said, if it wasn't for the occasional puzzle I would simply call it a 'walking simulator' as you'll spend most of your time wondering through the semi-open world and just soaking in the atmosphere. As such, I'm afraid Aporia is not going to be a game for everyone, but thankfully there is a demo available! So if you're on the fence and you're not sure if you're even into this sort of genre, make sure to check out the demo as it'll give you a pretty damn good glimpse into the world of Aporia.

To download the demo, or simply learn a little bit more, you should head over to Steam. And finally, here's a couple of lovely images to send you off:
