Horizon Zero Dawn has now landed onto PC, though not without serious technical issues

[Update #2]: Two years after its original launch, Horizon Forbidden West is coming to PC on March 21st.
[Update]: Horizon Zero Dawn devs are working on fixing the numerous issues with the PC port.
If the idea of hunting giant killer-robots sounds like a fun time to you, I have both good and bad news to deliver. The good news is that Horizon Zero Dawn: Complete Edition has now made its way to PC, and much like its console counterpart, it is pretty darn enjoyable.
As for the bad news, that would be the state of the PC port. Not only does it have issues with random stuttering and performance drops throughout perfectly normal gameplay, but there's also a fair few crashes to annoy you along the way. So if you do decide to dive in yourself, be ready to mess around with a whole bunch of settings before finally starting your playthrough in earnest.

After going through a brief round of testing, Ubisoft's neon-colored battle royale Hyper Scape is now almost ready for launch. You can expect to see it's very first season arrive this August 11th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 alongside a couple of new additions and a 100 tier Battle Pass.
When it comes to the actual gameplay, Hyper Scape offers a couple of twists on the usual battle royale formula. So once you land into the virtual city of Neo Arcadia, you'll need to scatter across the map in order to collect not only an assortment of weapons, but also abilities that range from setting up massive walls to doing superhero landings with appropriately ridiculous shockwaves.

If you're in a bit of a demon-slaying mood, and you've already played through all of the Doom games a million times over, you might want to give the newly launched Hellbound a look. To put it's simply, Hellbound is a fast-paced FPS inspired by the 90s’ classics and absolutely riddled with all sorts of nasties for you to blow up as you rush ever-forward.
Since the gameplay is king for these types of games, allow me to share with you the recently posted launch trailer. It should give you a pretty good idea of what Hellbound looks and sounds like in action. Have a peek:
Souls-like action RPG Mortal Shell is heading to PC and consoles this August 18th

[Update]: Dark Souls inspired Mortal Shell has added a bunch of new cosmetics and death metal boss music.
The upcoming Mortal Shell is a Dark Souls inspired action RPG with a focus strategic and fairly punishing combat. Unsurprisingly, this also means that you'll be spending a lot of your time exploring a massive and decaying world in search of answers, fighting off an assortment of malformed enemies, and as is tradition, dying over and over again until you master each encounter.
If all of that sounds like it's right up your alley, you might be glad to hear that you won't have to wait all that long to give it a try. According to the newest developer update, Mortal Shell will be launching this August 18th for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4!

The Humble Store is currently running a bit of a sale, and in order to get as many eyeballs on it as possible, has now launched a small giveaway as well. So if you're in the mood for some racing action, simply head on over to the Humble website and you'll be able to grab F1 2018 for free.
Naturally, there is a bit of a catch. The giveaway will only be around for another two and a half days, or while supplies last, so you might want to snatch yourself a copy sooner rather than later, just to be on the safe side.
Overwatch devs have launched an experimental update to address the Double Shield meta

[Update #2]: Blizzard is finally taking a serious look at reversing the rampant power creep in Overwatch!
[Update]: The experimental update has now gone live, though not without some notable changes.
While Blizzard has tried to address it time and time again, there is no denying that stacking up shields is still an incredibly effective strategy, especially when tanks like Orisa and Sigma can continue to fire while holding their shields. So in order to try to correct this once and for all, as well as spice up the meta as a whole, Blizzard has now brought in a brand new experimental update.
Brigitte, Orisa and Sigma have undergone some rather serious nerfs, while Symmetra, Zenyatta and Roadhog have gained a couple of buffs to help them out. Most surprisingly of all, Pharah has also received a rather peculiar rework to her flying mechanics! Here are the actual details:
Total War: Troy is launching next week and will be free to grab for 24 hours after launch

[Update]: Total War: Troy has been unleashed, and it is indeed entirely free to grab for the first 24 hours!
Instead of sticking to Steam like the rest of the series, Total War: Troy will be launching exclusively for the Epic Games Store this August 13th. The Steam version, as is often the case with these kinds of deals, will be arriving a year later once the exclusivity period has gone by.
While that might be a bit controversial, I do have one bit of purely positive news - Total War: Try will be entirely free to grab for 24 hours after launch! So whether you're a fan of Total War games and interested in seeing what Troy does differently, or a complete newcomer to the series, I'd still highly recommend taking Creative Assembly up on their offer and getting Troy free of charge!
