Trowzer from Yooka-Laylee

As I've mentioned numerous times throughout my review Yooka-Laylee's biggest issue is the camera, which is occasionally so bad you're going to be failing the same easy jump over and over again because you simply cannot orient yourself! Add to this some profoundly irritating 'voice acting' and extremely slow dialogue, and you've got a charming platformer that is trying its hardest to make you hate it.

Thankfully, it appears that all of these issues will be getting fixed in the near future. The camera is going to be greatly improved and will no longer get stuck on walls, dialogue and cutscenes will be much faster to skip, and if you hate hearing a constant barrage of "UGH, UGH, UGH, UGH, UGH, UUUUUGGHH" you'll be delighted to know that there will be an option to severely reduce such gibberish.

There is currently no release date set for this patch, nor is there an official list of changes, but it should be coming in the next few weeks. I really do hope the update ends up delivering on all of these promises because Yooka-Laylee really isn't a bad game, but it does desperately need a bit of polish. And while you wait for the update to arrive, may I suggest you check out Snake Pass - a recently released 3D platformer with a bit of a twist and plenty of charm.
