World of Warcraft Legion's Illidan

With World of Warcraft's big Legion expansion just around the corner, Blizzard has decided to double up on the pre-expansion excitement/madness by introducing not only the first chapter of the new story, but also the long awaited Demon Hunter class.

While the Broken Shore and Burning Legion Invasions are available to all, the Demon Hunters are reserved for those that pre-order the Legion expansion. Unfortunately for those among you that have purchased the Collector's Edition, there is no way to prove your ownership until your boxed copy finally arrives... right before Legion's launch on August 30th.

I haven't done the new story chapter just yet as I've been toying around with my Demon Hunter for the past few days, but so far my experience has been rather excellent and well worth the Game Token I had to sacrifice in order to get it. If you're like me and haven't played in a while but have a couple of Tokens stored away, I'd take this opportunity to give WoW another look (and pick up the new pets and cosmetics). It's been a load of fun so far.

While this specific update was released a couple of weeks ago, its also worth mentioning that the massive class rework has now been implemented on live servers, so if you haven't played World of Warcraft recently you might be up for some surprises. Not only do all of the classes now play in a much more proactive way, some of them have been completely reworked from the ground up. For example, the Survival Hunters are now an entirely melee orientated class, while the rather generic Combat Rogues got a nifty swashbuckler style of play.

If you don't feel like discovering all of these things on your own and would instead prefer a brief overview, here's the official "Pre-Expansion Patch Survival Guide":
