World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Nightborne cosmetic improvements

[Update #2]: Blizzard has detailed the return of the always popular Mage Tower challenges.

[Update]: Patch 9.1.5 will also remove Covenant restrictions, bring back Legion Mythic+ dungeons, and add a bunch of other quality of life changes.

One of my biggest annoyances with World of Warcraft is how frequently old content gets abandoned and ignored, even if the playerbase is genuinely interested in continuing to explore it. Battle for Azeroth's Island Expeditions are a perfect example of this as they are a veritable treasure trove of cosmetic items, yet are almost completely unplayable since you need to find two other players in order to even enter them.

This sort of nonsense has been going on for years, so you can imagine my surprise when Blizzard suddenly came out and announced a positive step forward - solo Island Expeditions! We will have to wait a little while in order to get in on the action as they're scheduled to arrive alongside patch 9.1.5, but regardless of the wait it's good to see Blizzard finally go for some easy yet highly welcome quality-of-life improvements.

The good news doesn't end there, however, as they have also revealed that both the Lightforged Draenei and Nightborne are getting much needed cosmetic improvements! Out of the two the Nightborne additions are definitely the more impressive ones as the new chin armor and eye options allow them to appear far closer to the well loved originals and less like off-brand Night Elves.

As far as I'm concerned these are both changes that should've been done eons ago, but even so I certainly won't complain about them finally getting here. In fact, I can only hope Blizzard will go for more easy wins with 9.1.5 and bring in even more small but relevant improvements. After all, World of Warcraft has an insane backlog of content that's just begging to be tapped into.

Whatever the future may bring, I'll make sure to let you know if Blizzard announces any other major changes.
