Wolfenstein 2: Freedom Chronicles DLC official artwork

Wolfenstein 2's Season Pass is set to contain three pieces of standalone DLC, each of which will feature different "larger-than-life American heroes" as they attempt to sabotage the Nazi war machine from "the ruins of Chicago to the vastness of space". Well, technically there are four parts to this Season Pass, but Episode Zero was released the same day as Wolfenstein 2 and mostly reuses the same levels, so I don't think it really counts.

As for the first actual episode, you can expect to see the "The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe" this December 14th. If there's going to be only one DLC you check out, it should probably be this one as its premise is pure gold! Speaking of which, here's the basic summary of each of the three DLCs, as well as their arrival date:

 • The Adventures of Gunslinger Joe (December 14th) – As former professional quarterback Joseph Stallion, smash through the Nazi hordes from the ruins of Chicago to the vastness of space!

• The Diaries of Agent Silent Death (January 30th) – As ex-OSS agent and assassin Jessica Valiant, infiltrate hidden Nazi bunkers in California and discover the secrets of Operation San Andreas!

• The Amazing Deeds of Captain Wilkins (March 2018) – As the US Army’s renowned hero Captain Gerald Wilkins, embark on a mission to Nazi-controlled Alaska to dismantle Operation Black Sun!

The details are still in short supply, but according to Bethesda's announcement the Freedom Chronicles DLCs will add more than nine hours of gameplay to Wolfenstein 2. In other words, expect each of the DLCs to take you around 3 hours to finish, perhaps a bit more if you really want to scour the world for collectibles and achievements. Whether you consider all of that worth €25/$25, which is the price of the Season Pass, that I'll leave for you to decide.
