We Happy Few is an action/survival game set in a retro-futuristic city whose inhabitants live in a drug-fueled state of happiness in order to escape the misery of the real world. It launched in Early Access way back in July of 2016, and if the latest announcement is any indicator it's going to remain in beta until summer.

As expected, the release date is being pushed back in order to give the developers enough time to polish all of the current and upcoming content, as well as create a proper story mode that will help flesh out the world and its characters. There aren't that many details available right now, but if you're interested in learning just a little bit more you'll find the latest developer video right below. Have a look:

Besides pushing back the release date, the developers have also announced that they will be offering refunds for all players who have purchased the game on Steam, regardless of playtime. Furthermore, in order to prevent new players from rushing into an unfinished game the developers will also be disabling the "buy" button on Steam at the end of January.

So if you have any inclination of playing We Happy Few ahead of it's release, you pretty much have to grab it now or you're going to miss your chance. I'd personally recommend you wait as it's quite clearly unfinished, but if you feel like giving it a try regardless you'll find everything you need to know on Steam. Enjoy!
