If you're curious about what exactly The Division has to offer, and you've somehow managed to miss the numerous free weekends so far, then consider this your lucky day. From 10am PST (7pm CEST) on September 6th until September 9th The Division will be entirely free to play on PC.

Simply head on over to the official website to learn more about the free weekend, as well as begin pre-loading so you can start the moment the gates open. The only catch, as you might expect, is that you will need to download Ubisoft's Uplay in order to explore the ruins of New York. A slight annoyance, but I wouldn't say it's much of a deal-breaker.

For those of you wondering whether The Division itself is even worth the trouble, I would answer with a cautious yes. While the launch version did not inspire me with a great deal of confidence for the series' future, Ubisoft has slowly but surely managed to mold The Division into a fairly enjoyable game. There's still some flaws you'll need to overlook, and the endgame does get a bit grindy, but as far as free trials go I do believe you'll have a pretty good time with it, especially if you can get a friend to come with you.

And as a final note, allow me to send you off with one of the trailers. It's not exactly going to be representative of your experience with the early game, but it'll at least give you an idea of what The Division actually looks and plays like. Enjoy!
