On August 10th Total War: Warhammer will be getting the long-awaited Norsca DLC, as well as an accompanying update that fixes many of the issues found throughout the Old World. Norsca itself will be given for free to everyone who pre-orders or purchases Total War: Warhammer 2 within the first week of launch, though it will also be available as a standalone purchase. If you don't feel like buying the DLC, worry not as Norsca will be present in both the singleplayer campaign and multiplayer, so you'll still be able to make a cozy mammoth rug out of them.
As for the free update, its pretty much everything the community has been asking for these past few months. The Empire AI will now start with the entire Reikland province which should ensure they actually reach the end-game, Chaos now replenishes their forces more quickly and is able to subjugate Norscans more easily, and the Wood Elves are getting some rather interesting followers that come with massive pros and equally massive cons.
Many of the fairly generic Legendary Lords such as Kemmler and Karl Franz are getting new skill trees and faction-wide effects to spice up the gameplay, while some of the units such as the Minotaurs, Dwarf Cannons and Bolt Throwers are getting their much-deserved buffs. All of the details haven't been released just yet, but if they're even remotely as good as the stuff shown so far Total War: Warhammer is about to become a whole lot better!
If you would like an in-game look at all of the new features you'll find the recently posted video right below. Its around 5 minutes long, but if you're a fan of Warhammer I would still recommend you check it out as very little of that time is wasted on fluff. Enjoy!
