[Update #2]: Total War: Warhammer 3 devs have detailed their roadmap for updates throughout 2023 and early 2024.

[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 3's Update 3.0 will bring with it four brand new challenge missions - Trials of Fate.

After well over a year of subtle and not-so-subtle teasers, Creative Assembly has now finally unveiled Total War: Warhammer 3's next DLC faction. Unsurprisingly, it's going to be the brutal, industrious and irrevocably cruel Chaos Dwarfs.

The Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC will bring with it three new Legendary Lords with their own unique mechanics and gameplay styles, a brand new lore of magic, as well as 26 new units to mess around with - everything from the hordes of half-naked Orc slaves to the mighty K’daai Destroyer war machines. What this looks like in action, that you can check out through two of the trailers below. Have a gander, starting with the cinematic one:

There is, unfortunately, a bit of bad news to cover as well. Despite having one less Legendary Lord than the previous DLC packs, Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs is going to cost a bit more than them - 25€ to be specific. Needless to say, that is quite a spicy price tag given that you can get the entirety of Total War: Warhammer 3 for slightly more during any of the numerous sales throughout the year.

So before you make up your mind, I'd highly recommend doing a bit of research on the Chaos Dwarfs to figure out whether they're going to be something that will keep you entertained for a long time or not. You can do so, as well as read more about the current state of Total War: Warhammer 3 itself, over at Steam.

Enjoy, and I'll make sure to let you know once the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs DLC goes live on April 13th.
