Total War: Warhammer 2 screenshot of the Prophet and the Warlock DLC

[Update]: Total War: Warhammer 2's next DLC, The Hunter & The Beast, will be greatly improving the Empire faction, as well as adding some lovely new units for the Lizardmen!

It has been quite a while since Total War: Warhammer 2's previous DLC, but I am glad to say that the wait has not been in vein as the upcoming The Prophet & The Warlock DLC appears to be rock solid. The Prophet & The Warlock will bring with it two new Legendary lords with their own unique skill trees and items, Clan Skrye (Skaven) and the Cult of Sotek (Lizardmen) factions with brand new campaign mechanics and playstyles, a variety of new units including the Ratling Gun Weapon Teams and Ancient Salamanders, and the list goes on for a while.

Since trying to explain all of this through words alone is a bit of a pointless task, allow me to share with you the recently posted trailer that also serves as a bit of a Predator parody. Have a gander, it's a fun one:

Much like the previous few DLCs, The Prophet & The Warlock will arrive alongside a rather sizable (and free) content update. The Skaven and Lizardmen will be getting a bunch of quality of life improvements, while Bretonnia can expect to see a major overhaul in order to bring them to the level of the other Mortal Empires factions. Perhaps most importantly, these changes will lean heavily into Bretonnia's themes of chivalry, which should make their playstyle drastically different from the other races, even if you ignore the army differences.

While the full patch notes are still not available, they should be coming soon given that the The Prophet & The Warlock DLC is set to arrive on on April 17th. Until then, you can learn a little bit more about the upcoming changes over at the official website, while heading over to Steam will give you a bit more information about the DLC itself.
