Gotrek and Felix, the two legendary adventures with quite a few books behind them, have been a part of Total War: Warhammer 2 for a little while now. However, unless you purchased a physical copy of the White Dwarf magazine, you simply couldn't play around with them yourself.

This period of exclusivity is now thankfully over, and so the Gotrek and Felix DLC is entirely free to grab for everyone! The only catch is that you'll need to create a Total War Access account in order to unlock them, though that's a fairly simple and straightforward procedure so I wouldn't complain about it too much.

You can initially recruit Gotrek and Felix from a quest marker on the world map, after which Gotrek will join you as a Legendary Lord, while Felix will be a Hero that accompanies him. As you might expect, they are incredibly powerful together and can be used to swing the tides in even the most hopeless of battles, so they are certainly worth going out of your way to acquire.

However, due to Gotrek's deathwish the duo will only stick around for a short while before getting bored and moving on, so make sure to get as much use out of them as possible! That said, don't worry about their fate as they will return at some point in the future of your campaign, usually with quite a few new tricks under their sleeves! And the final thing worth mentioning is that Gotrek and Felix will only be available for hire by the Empire, Bretonnia and Dwarf factions, for obvious reasons.
