I don't think anyone is surprised that Titanfall 2 will once again be featuring the iconic mechs, but I'm sure many among you will be delighted to know that some of those mechs will carry gigantic swords!

This little tidbit of information comes from the recently posted Titanfall 2 teaser trailer, which is a nice word for "announcement of an announcement". Still, its a rather nifty thing to behold, so have a look:

While few specific details are known, the lead writer behind Titanfall 2 stated that the the game will feature many elements and scenes "where science meets magic, but keeps it grounded and dirty and human and real". Most importantly, Titanfall 2 will come with a fully fledged single player campaign, it won't be just a set of multiplayer missions with a big ol' exposition dump in between them.

The exact release date isn't known, but due to EA's conference call from last year we know that its most likely going to be near the end of 2016. What we do know now, however, is that Titanfall 2 will be launching for all of the main platforms: PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Unfortunately, this is where the information stops. If you're interested in learning more about Titanfall 2, you'll have to wait until June 12 when EA will be holding a worldwide reveal.
