While Telltale has created some of the most interesting and compelling narrative-driven games out there, they have unfortunately also fallen into the trap of thinking 'more is better', which has resulted in some thoroughly mediocre games like the Games of Thrones series. With that in mind, I am more than happy to announce that The Wolf Among Us 2 has now been delayed to 2019 as Telltale wishes to focus on quality above all else.

"This delay comes as the result of a few fundamental changes here at Telltale since we first announced the game last summer," reads the brief announcement. "Most importantly, we're committed to exploring new ways to tell our stories. Taking this extra time will allow us not only to focus on quality but also to experiment and iterate in order to craft something truly special."

"Ultimately our goal is to deliver an experience deserving of the passion you’ve consistently shown for The Wolf Among Us, and these extra months will give us the time we need to do our best work. We’re extremely enthusiastic about how the game is progressing so far, and we can’t wait to dig even deeper."

Personally, I am perfectly fine with this. Telltale has created some of their best games when they gave their teams the time and resources needed to get truly creative, so hopefully the same will apply to The Wolf Among Us 2 as well. After all, its going to have to be damn near spectacular in order for it to stand above the original The Wolf Among Us!

Once more details get released I'll make sure to cover them, but you can also keep an eye out for yourself by following the Telltale Twitter account.
