Warhammer 40,000 Inquisitor - Martyr is an action-RPG that aims to combine the grim darkness of the Warhammer 40k universe with the open-ended gameplay of the Diablo series. What this means in gameplay terms is that Inquisitor - Marty features randomizes levels, a massive focus on replayability with a whole bunch of different weapons and abilities to toy around with, and naturally, hordes upon hordes of enemies to mow down.

While the recently posted cinematic trailer won't exactly give you a good look at what the gameplay is all about, it should at least show you what sort of style Inquisitor Martyr is aiming for. But enough babble from me, here's the video:

Inquisitor - Martyr just recently made its way to Steam Early Access, and while I haven't had the chance to play it myself, I am very glad to say that the user reviews are quite positive. Its obviously unfinished and in need of a whole bunch of polish, but most people seem to agree that the core gameplay is quite solid. So while it might take over half a year for Inquisitor - Martyr to fully release, it does appear we'll be getting a competent ARPG out of all that waiting!

If you don't feel like waiting, however, you can jump in right now, though do bear in mind that the price is a rather hefty €45. I would personally recommend waiting at least a couple of months for all of the core systems to get fully fleshed out, but if you really want to help the developers out you have the option to do so. And finally, if you would like to learn just a little bit more, you should head over to the official website.
