Eador: Masters of the Broken World screenshot of some Heroes of Might and Magic inspired gameplay

In celebration of the game's 5-year anniversary, Snowbird Games are currently giving away their turn-based strategy Eador: Masters of the Broken World for free. Simply head on over to Steam, click the "Install Game" button, and Eador will be yours to keep. Make sure to do this quickly as the promotion is set to end on Sunday, though no exact time has been given just yet.

If you're wondering what Eador is even all about, allow me to share with you one of the original trailers. It's not the most detailed video around, but it should still give you a good idea of whether Eador is something you'd enjoy or not. Have a gander:

On the other hand, if you're wondering whether Eador is any good, that's a bit of a difficult question to answer. I haven't played it myself, so as always take the following with a few grains of salt, but from what I could figure out Eador is equal parts flawed and unique. So if you're looking for a Heroes of Might and Magic inspired strategy game, and you don't mind overlooking some flaws in the process, I'd say Eador is well worth a short. After all, it's completely free!

If you end up liking what you see, you might also want to go and check out the latest game in the series - Eador: Imperium. It has noticeably better reviews on Steam, and it's also currently 50% off, so do give it a look if you're curious. Have fun!
