The Technomancer is a sci-fi RPG set on Mars, or rather a version of Mars where the outside conditions are seemingly perfect for human life, though with the small issue of there not being enough water to sustain everyone. As you might expect, this eventually led to the entirety of Mars splintering into multiple factions, each one attempting to eek out a meager existence amidst the barren wastes.

This is where you come in as a Technomancer, a formidable warrior capable of harnessing various destructive electrical powers, in order to shape the destiny of Mars, or at the very least the destiny of your own wallet. Rather than drone on about the premise, here's the relatively recent E3 trailer to give you an idea of what to expect:

Since this is an RPG, you will be able to recruit and travel with a variety of companions, chose between the diplomatic or "burn everything to the ground" approach, use trickery and deception to achieve your goals, and mostly run around trying to acquire the best gear possible. With four unique skill trees to choose from, and plenty of weaponry and armor to craft, The Technomancer should offer a good variety of diverging playstyles, provided they all remain relatively balanced.

While I know very little about The Technomancer, I do know that I love RPGs, so I will gladly welcome any new one into the fold, especially one that starts off with a setting as unique as this one. Whether it ends up being good or not, we won't have to wait for very long to find out as The Technomancer is set to arrive on June 28 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One, a week later than what it was originally scheduled for.

If you're interested in seeing what a Technomancer can do in battle, here's the "Gameplay Overview" trailer from back in April, it should give you a good taste:
