As announced relatively recently, the Souls-inspired The Surge 2 will be coming this September 24th for PC and consoles. Much like its predecessor, The Surge 2 will focus on skill-based combat against enemies that can easily dismantle you, customization through both weapons and changes to your exo-suit, and naturally, the exploration of a massive world riddled with both dangers and loot.

If you're wondering what all of this might look like in gameplay terms, wonder no more as the developers have now shared a rather lengthy preview. Have a look, it's a pretty informative one:

While I'll reserve my judgment for when I actually get my hands on The Surge 2, I must admit I'm quite pleased with what they've done so far. It looks and feels like the original, just without any of the clunkiness that seemed to occasionally rear its ugly head and ruin the experience. In other words, The Surge 2 really is shaping up to be a fully fledged sequel!
