If you're a fan of fighting games and you've somehow managed to avoid playing Street Fighter V entirely, you might be interested to hear that Capcom is currently running a free weekend. Simply head on over to Steam, go through the somewhat lengthy download, and you'll be able to beat up the AI or your fellow players until December 19th at 10am PT.

In terms of content, you will have access to all 16 original characters, including fan-favorites like Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li and M. Bison. Three DLC characters will also be available for free throughout this trial: Guile, Akuma and Sagat. As for the game modes, you'll be able to mess around with the Arcade, Versus, Challenges and Training modes, which should give you a pretty good idea of what Street Fighter V is all about.

For those of you wondering whether it's worth getting invested into Street Fighter V despite all of its various controversies, I'm afraid I can offer you little help here as I'm not much of a fighting game fan. That said, Street Fighter V is currently entirely free, so I suppose it's worth at least giving it a try and seeing for yourself what all the hubbub is about.

You can learn more about Street Fighter V, as well as download the free trial, by visiting Steam. Have fun, and here's a trailer showing off what Sagat has to offer:
