[Update]: Ghostwire: Tokyo has now arrived for PC and PS5, and so far it looks like it's following in the footsteps of The Evil Within 1 and 2.
Much like Tango Gameworks previous two games, Ghostwire: Tokyo is an action focused horror game that's all about standing firm against the unknown. In other words, Ghostwire: Tokyo will have you explore surreal versions of iconic Tokyo locations, fight against an assortment of spirits and other supernatural threats, as well as hopefully figure out just what in the world is even happening around you.
What all of this looks like in action, that you can get a bit of a sneak peek at through the recently posted trailer. Have a gander, it's quite an interesting one visually:
I haven't played it myself just yet, but judging by the reviews so far it seems like Ghostwire: Tokyo is following the same path as The Evil Within 1 and 2. So if you do decide to dive in yourself, expect to see some unique visuals and a strong atmosphere, an intriguing story that suffers from somewhat poor pacing, as well as combat that's mostly just kind of fine. Not exactly a game I'd personally grab at full price, but certainly something that's worth picking up somewhere down the line.
Once Ghostwire: Tokyo arrives onto PC and PlayStation this March 25, 2022 I'll make sure to let you know. Until then, you can read a little bit more about it over at Steam.
