Unlike the original, The Evil Within 2 is a fairly well-received game that launched with quite a few positive reviews backing it up, from both critics and users alike. However, it is still an expensive game, so it's understandable if many of you didn't feel like taking a risk with it, especially considering how many AAA games have released in the last few months.

With that in mind I am very glad to say that The Evil Within 2 now has a free trial available, so if you ever wanted to give it a try, now would be your chance to do so. If you're planning to grab the PC version simply head on over to Steam, go to the "Download Demo" button on the right side, and you'll be playing in no time.

In terms of content this demo gives you access to the first couple of opening chapters, though how long this will take you to beat I'm afraid I don't know. What I can tell you, however, is that your progress and character customization options will carry over to the full version whenever you decide to buy it, so don't worry about any sort of 'wasted' playtime.
