Even though the Epic Games Store released a while back, it has almost continuously managed to find itself in the center of one controversy or another. This is partly due to some of the technical problems behind the storefront itself, and partly because Epic has decided to compete with Steam by purchasing as many exclusives as possible, even if those games have already promised Steam keys to their buyers.

With that in mind, I am very glad to say that the Epic Games Store has now finally done something that can be considered as universally positive: a massive sale featuring some of the newest games out there. Until June 13th just about every single game on the Epic Games Store will be on a decent discount, while Epic themselves will be providing an additional $10 off for every game that costs more than $15.

Before you get too excited, it is worth mentioning that the $10 discount is already accounted for in the prices you'll see on the storefront. In other words, some of the games won't be as cheap as you might initially expect, but even so the discounts are still quite heavy, especially considering how recently some of these games have arrived.

Personally, I can only hope this is the sort of competition Epic will be going for in the future, because this is how you build up good will among the community! Not by forcing decisions upon people and making their favorite developers turn into liars, but rather by offering everyone a superior deal and making them happy to support you.

Whatever the future might bring, you can learn more about this sale, as well as pick up some games for yourself, over at the official website. Enjoy!
